Part 1 it has been years after the triumph of the Hero of Time, a long time since his wedding. night was falling on Hyrule Castle, inside one room it was dimmed and silent. the Queen Zelda was dying, and beside her bed was her husband, Link. it was a disease that many had caught when it passed through the land, but Zelda had never recovered from it. her end drew nearer with each shaky breath, sweat-soaked face turned to the ceiling as her matted and wet blonde hair spilled onto the pillow. her complexion was pale and ashen, only her eyes told she was once strong and beautiful. "Link," she said at last, shifting her head to look at him. "....link...." her wretching coughs opened his eyes, and lines were on his face that weren't there before. "zelda," he whispered. "my time.......is at hand," she strained. "there is......something......i must tell you....." coughing up blood she gasped and coughed once more. "there......is..." he leaned closer to catch the words on her dying lips. "a.......child.........you.....must...remem-ber-" with a sigh she died, the sentence trembling on her still tongue. it was almost as though she was sleeping, completely still and at peace. a single tear fell from his eyes as Link stood up. going to the window he sighed as two maids came in and screamed. the sound was oddly muted as he gazed at the moon, that one tear still falling as his short hair danced in the breeze. "i must go," he said, and left the castle. taking his few belongings he mounted Epona and left. no one knew where he fled, and the land mourned for the deceased queen they had loved and worshipped. quietly Link made his home in the forest with his kokori kin, until the day he felt something out of place. "Link!" Navi called, flying out of the trees. "link!" emerging from his home he looked to his old companion. "yes navi?" he asked politely. "link, there is a problem in the Water Temple again," she said, bouncing up and down. "the new deku tree senses it." knowing that it was the work of his opposite, Link gathered his weapons and set off to see what he was up to.
"for the last time, Link isn't here," said an exasperated voice within a foggy room with water and an island with a dead tree in the middle. "you must know where he is, you are his opposite," argued a second voice. "yes, but i do not keep track of him!" Dark Link retorted as he jumped out from one of the branches. "well he is here now," echoed the voice as it disappeared into the water. "what?" he said, turning to the door. sure enough, there was his counterpart approaching him. "greetings, brother," Dark Link said as he folded his arms. "what brings you back here?" Link's face was as stony as ever, and his opposite was unable to read the emotions for a second time. "what have you been stirring up Dark?" he asked in a meloncholy tone. "why, nothing since she died," was Dark Link's reply. "why do you ask?" Link's eyes flickered to the water briefly. "don't lie. you're up to something. i know it," he replied. Dark Link shrugged. "whatever you say, brother," was the response as Dark Link turned and sat against the tree. "why don't you meet my companion?" he suggested. shouting a command in Gerudo he sat back as Link tensed, waiting for an attack. the water bubbled and splashed before a figure emerged, and as the water rolled off Link's eyes widened. a woman around twenty straightened, long midnight hair falling in a ponytail to the waist. she wore sapphire gerudo garb, and her lightly tanned skin set off her eyes. turning to glance at Dark Link, who nodded, she turned back to Link. his suprise rippled through him. she had silver eyes. no one else in the kingdom had silver eyes, not one. "greetings, Link," she said, bowing. "i am Selaan." Link looked to his brother, who was pretending to sleep. who was this Selaan? and why did she reside with his evil self? Link was confused and spoke little to them. he knew Dark Link was trying something so he needed to stay alert.
deep within the fires of Death Mountain a figure chanted a spell. taking a dagger from the gorons he sliced the arm of a struggling red-haired woman. chanting further he threw the blood into a magical circle. adding other objects the figured raised arms to the sky and pushed the girl into the center. bright red and purple smoke burst out, with flames and light. the girl screamed as she disappeared, a scarf remaining. the figure blew the blood droplets onto a small jewel which disappeared. "it is done," the figure said and departed.
"ahh," Selaan said suddenly. "that feels much better." Link stood from his spot in the water. they had been sparring much to his counterpart's delight. "what?" he said, bewildered. "oh, it's nothing. just a little nourishment," she replied innocently, a blood red ruby perching next to the jewel holding up her hair. /fool. i shall avenge she who has fallen./ she thought.

part 2 Link felt trouble as soon as she said those words. shaking it off he sheathed his sword and shield. "i am sorry, but i must depart," he said to them before leaving. running out of the temple Link mounted epona and rode out to Hyrule Field. "something isn't right here," he said. lightly kicking epona's sides she shot towards Lon Lon Ranch. inside he heard chaos unlike usual. dismounting, Link walked into the corral where Malon was. she was upset, shaking Ingo's shoulders. "malon?" Link called as he approached. "link!" she cried, running to him as tears fell down her twenty-four year old face. "what's wrong?" he asked, holding the crying woman in his arms. "tell me.." trying to pull herself together malon looked up at him. "my little sister, Ralon is missing!" she sobbed, clinging onto Link's tunic. "what?" he said. "she went to Death Mountain to visit the gorons and didn't come back! she's been gone for a week!" Malon explained. Link frowned. "i'll go there to find out what happened," he told her, and ran back to epona. riding as fast as he coud to kakariko village, Link couldn't shake the feeling that there was definitely something wrong here.
entering the gates Link felt an ominous presence. it was oddly quiet for an active place, no one was outside. a lone redead greeted Link, who killed it swiftly. turning to go up the path Link was stopped by a familiar sound. "don't go up there," said a familiar voice. he turned to see Sheik, standing nearby. "i thought you had left when the others did after Ganondorf's defeat," Link said to him. Sheik shook his head. "i couldn't leave her," he replied. Link knew whom he meant. "i am sorry for your loss, friend," he said, placing a hand on Link's shoulder. "i know. now what were you saying?" he replied. Sheik glanced up at the mountain. "there is something up there, and has taken control of the gorons," was the response. "apparantly whoever it is can also raise the dead." Link frowned again. "who has been brought back?" he asked. "i don't know, but there are two," Sheik said before going through the gates. "the first one brought back the other." Link followed him, and the feeling something wasn't right increased as they ascended the mountain.
inside it was just as deserted. no goron was in sight, not even Darunia's son. the two males walked into Darunia's old chambers where a dark cloud hovered in front of the statue. "there is evil here," Sheik said in a low voice. taking out a sword he slashed at it, the resulting explosion knocked them backwards. the statue moved, and the swirling black cloud remained in the doorway. faint laughter emmitted from it, as two gorons with glowing red eyes grabbed them and walked through. "at last," said a voice, victorious.

part 3 Link woke up after a short while, bound with ropes and held by a goron. turning his head to the left, he noticed that sheik was bound as well. a rumblng laugh made him look forwards. "what the-!?" he said, completely suprised. the robed figure turned towards him, and stopped about five feet away. "do you recognize me? said the voice. "it has been a long time, link." he frowned, trying to release himself. nothing happened, the goron tightened his grip around his arms though. "who are you?" Link asked. the figure chuckled, and folded his hands. "i believe recognizing my name will be enough," the man replied. "Agahnim." turning to make small adjustments with the magic circle, he turned back with a hidden grin. Link was puzzled for a moment. "but, you died a hundred years ago," Link said. nodding, Agahnim placed the dagger down on a small table. "that i did. but, i managed to find a way to come back," he replied. "and i brought a friend."
Dark Link hummed absently to himself as he wiped down his sword. "is there a reason why you're polishing that? link defeated you years ago," Selaan said as she appeared from the water. Dark gave a half-shrug before putting it down. "selaan, when you have been condemned to a temple for all eternity tell me. it gets very dull," he replied. she sighed, and backflipped around. landing hard, she straightened. "you have a point. it was dreadful back home," she responded. Dark Link nodded again. "it was dreadful. does the water still burn?" he said. she smirked before answering. "always." adjusting a sleeve, Selaan noticed she was starting to go pale. "he better hurry up," she muttered, running a hand through her hair.
Sheik had woken up a bit after Agahnim had removed a few gorons from the room. their hypnotized eyes flickered in the firelights as they marched out, and without any sound. "now, if i may," Agahnim said, gesturing to a bag. for some reason Link nodded, which Sheik found confusing. "what's going on?" he asked quietly, raising his head to get a better look. "something important," he said. shouting suddenly in a long dead language a flash of light and smoke appeared, revealing several Gerudo with blank, mindwashed looks. they wore old garbs, and neither males recognized the symbols. "she is waiting," they said, and formed a loose circle. "good," he said, and looked back at Sheik and Link. "this will be perfect."

part 4 "perfect?" Sheik repeated. his confusion mirrored Link's, neither of them knew what was going on. Agahnim fiddled with a few objects, then starting muttering. hairs pricked up on the back of Link's neck. "what's he doing?" he whispered. Sheik shrugged. at a wordless command they were dragged to the edges of the circle, then placed inside. a spiral of smoke jutted from a spot in the circle of gerudos, and a figure appeared. "is it ready?" rang out a familiar voice. Selaan's eyes glittered with excitement as she stood there, and seemed to be smiling. "yes," was her answer, and the grinning gerudo lightly licked her lips. "good," she replied. "very good."
Sheik was shocked, more or less. he had read a scroll based on a gerudo who was Ganon's second-in-command and had helped Agahnim steal the triforce....and Selaan looked exactly like her. "are you the one?" he asked, now realizing his voice had gone scratchy. she looked over at her captives and nodded. "yes," she said simply. "i'm suprised you read that one." Agahnim's voice grew a little louder as his strange chanting increased, and the circle began to glow. "sheik, we're in trouble," Link said, watching tiny smoke swirls rise from the ground.
Dark Link was about to fall alseep when he felt a tugging. it wasn't like someone had grabbed his midnight tunic, it was a tugging at his mind. it was getting more insistant and annoying as each second passed. /what?/ he thought angrily. standing, he scowled as the tugging ceased and he heard a faint voice. /Dark.....we need your help.....death mountain.....spell....../ Dark Link snorted. "such is the life of me," he said crossly. looking to the west he disappeared with a crack, travelling to the volcano to see what was going on. hopefully he wouldn't have to save anyone, it really bugged him.
brilliant red smoke emitted from the circle as Agahnim tried to complete a rather complicated spell. sweat poured from his forehead, and his hands were shaking. Selaan was feeling the same effects, she looked pale now. her eyes were locked onto the wizard, and she seem to get paler every moment. no one noticed the soft footfalls of another figure, approaching from behind a large boulder. Dark Link's eyebrows shot up when he saw Agahnim and Selaan, and drew his sword and shield. "selaan, what have you done?" he said. Sheik and Link looked over at him, trapped within the smoke. she smiled and her gaze too sought out the anti-hero. "nothing but what i need to survive," she replied haughtily, tossing back her graying hair. Dark Link scowled. "you forget, if Link dies so will i, as we are the same person," he snapped. Selaan nodded. "yes, i had considered that," she said slowly. "but i found something much much better." confusion was the distraction she needed as Agahnim zapped Dark Link with a lightening shot and drove him to the ground.
"ouch!!!" Dark Link yelled, and got to his feet. dodging lightening and other old spells he accidently scuffed the sands on the magic circle, breaking the spells instantly. Sheik threw what looked like something similiar to shuriken while Link slashed at the gerudos. the wounds healed, and he was thrown backwards by a spell. "she will have her vengence hylian," Selaan spat, and grabbed Sheik. jumping into the remnants of the circle just as the spell finished, a flash of light and explosion occured and then they were gone. "SHEIK!!!!!!!" Link screamed, slashing at the mindless gerudo. Agahnim had hidden himself in the smoke, and unknowing to them began a different spell. Dark Link panted as he walked up to his opposite. "it's too late, Selaan has him now," he said. Link sighed. "and now we have to find that reincarnation before Selaan wakes her up," he said, before straightening. "lets go," Dark Link said. as they turned to leave, an echoing laugh caused them to stop as a painful white light surrounded them. when it was gone, both became terrified. one person straightened, yet two souls resided. Link and Dark Link had been combined. now they were one again, and were somehow bound by Agahnim's old magic as he disappeared. the new hylian looked around, with one red eye and one blue eye. gray hair hung in his eyes, and the mixed blue and black tunic hung comfortably. speaking aloud, the twins were suprised to find their voices mingled together. walking out of the volcano the new Link headed down to Epona. "we need to see the goddesses," they said together, and rode off towards the Temple of Light.

part 5 as Epona galloped towards the gates Link tested his new strength. taking out the old fairy bow he shot an arrow at a passing tree, which exploded. "wow," he commented. Dark Link huffed as Epona stopped. dismounting Link ran inside just as the drawbridge rose for the night. not even the stray dogs roaming through the square payed any attention to him, running towards the Temple. he was just about to go inside when he heard a faint laugh. the feeling of something bad had appeared again, and he slipped inside.
the voices he normally heard seemed quiet, hushed. almost a whisper among the moon shafts and marble walls. his footfalls echoed on the stone floors, and Dark Link looked around. "you really went here?" he muttered, and waited for his twin to answer. "yes. large isn't it?" Link murmured as he approached the altar. going past it, he knelt in front of the place where he drew the master sword. tossing a medallion into the air, the twins felt the sensation of being lifted up as they were whisked away to the chamber of sages.
standing in their respective places, the sages looked at him. a few gasped here and there, as he turned. the one empty spot made his heart ache. the one sage missing........zelda. "what happened?" asked one. Link turned to see who had spoken, which was Ruto. "Agahnim fused us together," they answered. this time it was Raru who let out a gasp. "and we need to speak to the Goddesses." the sages looked to each other before waiting for Raru's decision. he frowned for a moment, thinking. "we can try, but they don't always respond to our calls," he said. lifting a palm the hylian was sent straight up, into the clouds. it felt impossible, being in a cathedral. a humming sound was heard before a light exploded into brilliant stars as three figures emerged. when the light faded the Goddesses stood before them. Farore's long green hair rippled as she moved, and Din's firey red curls shimmered. Nayru's long blue hair looked like a waterfall before she spoke. "what do you wish, Hero?" she asked, voice sounding like rushing waters and passionate love. her voice startled Dark Link, and Link trembled. Farore blinked several times. "this isn't our Hero!" she said, looking at her sisters. Din turned to face her. "yes it is," she said flatly, voice rumbling. the frightened Hylians looked at them in confusion. "Agahnim did this to us!" Link said suddenly. Nayru turned back to him. "we know," she said angrily. "now what do you want?" the others nodded. "we want to be seperated," they replied, feeling a rush of anger towards them. the goddesses were silent for a long moment. "it shall be, but it will take a true effort to prove you truly wish to be seperate again," they said finally. "like what?" Dark Link asked. "another quest."
Link shook his head and stood up. he was back in the Temple of Light, feeling no further than when he had first arrived. sighing, he went outside just as the sun came up. "dawn always comes after i leave," he said lightly, and walked into Hyrule Field. "now what?" Dark Link said boredly. "we go and see if the Deku Tree has any ideas on what to do." hoisting up onto Epona they set off for Kokori Forest, in the hopes of finding out what they needed to do.

part 6 the twins emerged into Kokori Forest again, and received a wide variety of reactions from the children. ignoring them, Link ran down to the meadow where the new Deku Tree resided. "what is it?" he asked kindly, smiling down onto his savior. "we need your help," the twins replied. "oh? for what?" the Deku Tree asked, looking thoughtful. the twins explained their problem while the tree listened, thinking it over. after a few moments he came to a decision, and the twins were a little eager to hear them. "it seems the Goddesses have given you another nearly impossible task. i can be of some help, though a reincarnation will be better," he said. the twins frowned. "reincarnation?" Link repeated, looking unsure. the Deku Tree nodded. "yes," he said. "there is a reincarnation of a very powerful person somewhere in this world. i don't know where myself, she is too hard to trace." Dark Link thought for a few seconds while Link was quiet in his own part of the mind. "so, it is a woman?" he asked. with a nod, he asked again. "d'you think it's anyone we know?" the Deku Tree was silent, then spoke again. "i have no idea. but it's best you find her before Agahnim does." the twins smiled, then turned and ran back to Epona. they just had to find her, whoever she was.
Ralon shook with fright. the dark world, or whatever it was called that she had been sent to, was the most frightening thing she had seen her whole life. she had been left in Volgavia's old lair in the volcano, bound and gagged. that wizard had called her back, saying she was needed for something. but that was ages ago. she looked around, short red hair spilling about her shoulders. her eyes were identical to her older sister's, but hers were much darker. taking a few deep breathes through her nose, Ralon tried to calm herself down. she had no idea how long it had been, there was no difference in the light. sometimes that strange man would visit her though, the kind one with the brainwashed eyes. Ralon didn't know his name, but he wore those strange clothes that Malon often talked about. speaking of which, there he was now! with that blonde hair sticking out of the turban..Ralon sat up as the brainwashed Sheik approached, bearing food on a tray. "Agahnim doesn't want you to starve," he said, placing the food in front of her. he gently removed her gag, and untied her wrists. "eat up. you'll need your strength." she looked up at him, into those empty eyes of a strong hypnosis spell. Ralon looked down at her meal, and ate generously. after she was done sheik re-tied her, and left. Ralon sighed as she lied back down, thinking about him as she fell asleep.
again Link was at a dead end. he had gone to every temple he could think of, asking along the way. nothing. not even a helpful tip. nobody seemed to know what he was talking about. sighing, he left the shadow temple. in exhaustion he slowly headed back to the market place, thinking that maybe a fortune-teller could help. it was night again as he entered, and glanced up at the moon before opening a door in the alley and heading inside. a fortune-teller in ameythist robes looked up at him, smiling. "ah, mr. Hero," he said, folding his arms. "what can i do for you?" Link sat down on a cushion and tossed a bag of rupees at him. "i need help finding this reincarnation," he said tiredly. Dark Link nodded inside, agreeing. the fortune-teller smiled with delight as he counted the money. "100 rupees. you must need my skills," he said happily. "i am at your service." waving his hands over the crystal ball he muttered under his breath. after a few minutes a green smoke issued from his fingertips and settled inside the crystal ball. he was silent as he gazed at it, lips pursed slightly as he watched. "well, no wonder you can't find her," he said, looking up at the twins. "you need to find her mother first." Link frowned. "her mother?" he repeated. the fortune-teller nodded. "it seems she has yet to be born, but her mother will aide in your quest." Dark Link scratched his head. "so, i find her mother, and i find the reincarnation too?" he asked. another nod. "who is the mother?" Link asked after a few moments. the fortune-teller smiled slowly, as though savoring a juicy piece of meat. "oh, you know her very well. and the father." the twins were puzzled. "so who are they?" they demanded. "Ralon is the mother......and the father.....well he is no other than that sheikah male."

part 7 Link was breathing heavily, having run from the fortune-teller's house to about halfway to Lake Hylia. Epona whickered nearby, she had trotted after the twins when they bolted from the marketplace. plopping onto the gorund he took off his hat, letting it fall onto the grass. his now-gray hair spilled to his shoulders, and Link rubbed his forehead wearily with a hand. Epona nickered as she rubbed his face with her muzzle. "epona," he said, gently pushing her face away as she resumed grazing. Dark Link found all of this rather amusing. "i can't believe it," he chuckled. /what's so funny?/ Link said to his twin. /it's your best friend's sister and you friend./ "i know it is," Link snapped out loud. Epona gave him an odd look before going back to eating the leaves off a tasty plant.
sleep. sleep. Ralon heard it over and over again in her head. sleep. her hair spread in a halo around her face, looking like fire in the lava-light. opening her eyes she glanced about before sitting up and sighing. Ralon didn't hear the approaching footsteps, and screamed when Sheik accidently startled her. her gag had been removed recently for her lack of screaming, other than just now. Sheik smiled behind his face cover as he meekly set down the tray of food. "my apologies. i didn't mean to startle you," he said, bowing politely. at least it wasn't a brainwashed goron or a hypnotized gerudo sent to kill her. Ralon visibly relaxed. "it's okay," she said, before helping herself to a loaf of bread. "what's your name?" she asked after a few minutes of silence. "and what are you?" Sheik seemed to think it over before answering. (did brainwashed people think?) "i am sheik," he said slowly. "and i am a sheikah." Ralon nodded as she chewed. "i'm Ralon," she replied. "a hylian." she held out a hand, expecting a simple handshake. what suprised her was his reaction to it. Sheik stared at her hand for a few seconds, then grasped it with his. caressing it gently his empty eyes seemed to bore into hers. "i will return tomorrow with more food, ralon," he promised, and left with the food tray. Ralon watched him leave then sighed again as she layed back down. "tomorrow then," she murmured as she fell back asleep.
Malon hadn't been sleeping very well. everytime she did, she had horrible nightmares about her little sister. "i hope link finds you soon," she whispered, looking out her window. her normally sleek hair was tousled and messy, her eyes were red-rimmed and had heavy lines and shadows under them. they alone betrayed that fact, and the bags under them as well. she heard the sound of hoofbeats coming close, and Malon leaned out as Epona approached. she watched Link dismount and start for the door. in a flash she ran downstairs to let him in. "have you found ralon yet?" she asked hopefully, setting the lantern on a table. Link turned to face her in the light, and Malon gasped. "your...your hair," she said, eyes going wide in fright. his eyes focused on her, making her shrink into a chair fearfully. "you eyes-your tunic! what happened?" she asked. the twins sighed. "my brother and i have been fused together with old magic. we cannot be ourselves again until we fulfill another quest," Dark Link answered. Malon thought for a few minutes. "the goddesses...must have something in store for you," she said. "have you found Ralon yet?" she asked again. she was on the verge of tears, and one escaped and slid down her cheek. the twins knelt in front of her, multi-eyes illuminated by the lamp. "i believe she is in the deepest part of the Fire Tempe, but-" "but?" she squeaked, as another tear fell. the twins heaved another sigh. "but she might be changed. ralon might seem..different than normal." "but she's okay?" Malon whispered. they nodded. Malon squealed with joy, and lept up to hug them fiercely. "oh thank you thank you! even if ralon has changed i will love her the same!" she cheered. /oh, she will have changed allright,/ Link thought.

part 8 time seemed to have gone by faster than Ralon thought, Sheik had been more friendly to her. greeting her with a kiss on the cheek, mindless eyes glittering. and when he left he wrapped her in a hug. she thought it was odd at first, but quickly got used to it. she lied on her back staring up at the cavern ceiling, or what she could see of it anyways, absently trailing a hand through Sheik's hair as he slept beside her. their skin glowed in the flamelight, having cemented their passion an hour before. sighing, Ralon rested her other hand over her stomach before falling asleep again. Sheik groaned in his sleep as he rolled over, half-embracing the girl.
the twins had entered the Fire Temple, cautiously making their way to volgavia's chambers. they had been empty ever since Link had slain the dragon, but was pretty sure Ralon was being kept inside. Dark Link muttered as they jumped over a lava pit; ascending towards the large door. /you're sure she's in there?/ Dark asked his twin. "yes," Link sighed, rolling his eyes as he went through it. in the midst of occasional lava and flames, he spotted a figure lieing in the near-center of the ring where he had fought the dragon. getting closer, he saw a younger and shorter-haired version of Malon. it must be her sister. she rolled onto her side, robes rustling. gently picking her up the twins swift;y and quietly carried the sleeping Ralon out to epona and riding away.
Sheik had been getting food for her, and upon returning he looked around, not seeing her. "ralon?" he called, setting down the tray. after receiving no answer he fled to agahnim, fear apparent in his brainwashed eyes. he was worried, if she had been kidnapped then there was going to be a huge problem with the lady selaan's plans.

part 9
Epona was silent as she rode back towards Lon Lon Ranch. she usually objected to being told to gallop faster, but she took it in stride. the sun was rising as they approached the gates, and the twins dismounted. gently lifting the still-sleeping Ralon off of epona, Link carried her to the door and knocked. Malon opened it after a moment, looking sleepy. "link?" she said, not fully awake yet. "may i come in?" he asked, noticing she hadn't seen her sister yet. Malon nodded, and let them in. "you found ralon!" she exlcaimed, seeing her little sister for the first time. the twins grinned. "yes, exactly where i thought she was," Link replied. she gestured upstairs. "quick, let's put her in bed." Link followed Malon upstairs to the bedroom, and placed Ralon on the bed. they left together, to wait for her to wake up while the twins explained where they found her.
Agahnim had been sitting in his chambers within the Fire Temple when Sheik burst in. "Master Agahnim!" he shouted, stopping to catch his breath. Agahnim turned, a suprised look on his face. "yes sheik?" he said, waiting for his servant to catch his breath. /he must have run a ways to be out of breath,/ he thought. after the frightened young man regained his breath, he rapidly told Agahnim what happened. his eyes widened as he listened, twining a finger in his robes. "i'm glad you came to me first," he said finally. "selaan will not be happy that our plans have been usurped again." Sheik nodded fearfully. "all we can do for now is wait. go out tomorrow and look for her," Agahnim said. Sheik nodded, and left. worriedly he returned to his own chambers, one of the old cells that had held a goron.
when Ralon finally did wake up, it was almost midday. the first thing she saw was Malon, and jumped. "malon! wha-what are you doing here?" looking around, she realized she was no longer in the volcano. "what-where am i?" she asked, confused. Malon smiled. "ralon, you're home," her sister said. "home?" Ralon repeated, slumping in her bed. "oh." her apparent disappointment didn't spoil Malon's happiness as she sat in the room. a quiet knock on the door made Ralon jump, but Malon simply answered it. "oh hello link," she said. Ralon's eyes widened. /link?/ she thought. Ralon had just about the same reaction as her sister, a near hearrt attack. the twins had to explain a second time how they came to be like that. abruptly, Ralon was sick onto the floor. Malon grimaced, knowing she had to clean it up. Link frowned. "ralon.....was sheik there?" Dark Link asked. she nodded, wiping her mouth. walking forward, the twins knelt in front of her. placing a hand on her stomach, she raised a brow while they listened. after a moment, Link spoke. "ralon.......you're pregnant." Malon promtply fainted.

part 10
Ralon was thunderstruck. "p-pregnant?" she repeated, horror registering on her face. the twins nodded solemnly. she went paler than she already was, realizing what that meant. Malon was even more scared then anyone else, she figured something else was at work. "but...." Ralon trailed off as she sagged onto her bed. Link sighed. dropping his hand, his eyes flickered over to her. "ralon.....is sheik the father?" he asked, though he already knew the answer. Malon dreaded her little sister's answer. Ralon was quiet, letting it sink in while she thought about it for a few moments. "....he is," she said finally. the twins were silent. "so, now i have to deal with a child and the brainwashed sheik," Dark Link said. Ralon gave him an odd look vefore sleep pounced on her and she closed her eyes.
Agahnim was staring at the wall in his chambers. he knew that sheik would leave to search for ralon anytime now, but he was worried that Selaan might find out. she was very powerful, even back then when Link's ancestor battled him a century before. sighing, he sat on the end of his bad and fell asleep. he would deal with it later when he didn't feel so tired.
Sheik had woken up before dawn, his empty eyes reflecting the torches nearby. getting out of his simple bed he stretched before leaving. jogging lightly out of the Fire Temple, his mind sent lazy thoughts while he jumped over lava pits. finally he was in the top area of the volcano itself, ignoring the goron servants going about their business as he left the city. emerging later on the mountainside, he walked down towards kakariko. searching fruitlessly he continued onto Hyrule Field, heading towards Lake Hylia. with no success there he searched Hyrule marketplace.being jostled by passerby occaisionally, he didn't see Ralon anywhere. in Kokori Forest the children made his life miserable while he searched there. Sheik glanced at Lon Lon ranch before setting out towards Gerudo Valley. "i have to find her," he said before walking across the bridge.
